Ultimately, their suggestion was to add Thunderbird to the Exceptions List. I did that tonight and, so far, TB seems to be running OK. Over the next day or so I will see if it continues and post here with the results. Adding to the exceptions list is easy. When it gets so horribly slow reading simple webpages, it gets really frustrating. I've been reading tons of complaints all over the web and tech sites about the same slow for others with Firefox 12 and yet to find one solution to the problem, most just went back to previous version Firefox they were using.
